All Inclusive Cruise

What's the best/cheapest way to book a cruise?

I’m hoping to take my girlfriend on a cruise in about 6 weeks. Neither of us have been on one before.

Is it better to use a travel agent, or should we just go online to find a bargain?

Are some cruise lines better than others? Do most offer shuttles from airport to boat?

i have been on four cruises and i suggest using a travel agent. the travel agent will get you brochures and book the cruise and more specific details, i also recommend royal caribbean, holland america, or even a princess cruise! hope you enjoy your cruise!

A travel agent would be very helpful, but they cost money, too.

Best bet is to look online and see which one looks best for YOU. Think of what you want. Do you want to gamble, party, relax, see the world, stay up late, see good shows, go swimming, go tanning, or visit nice beaches? These are just some of the things you need to think about when you pick a cruise line.

The main cruise lines that you’ll be looking at are Carnival, Royal Caribbean, NCL, Princess, and Celebrity. Carnival is best for your money, but it’s more of a party ship. Royal Caribbean and Princess are very upscale and you’ll see very interesting places. NCL pretty much lets you do your own thing, and I’m pretty sure it’d be better for experienced cruisers. I don’t know much about Celebrity. Go online and do your homework to see which one looks like it will fit for YOU. There is also the Disney cruise, but it’s better for children and huge Disney fans.

Many do offer shuttles and if not, there’s usually a bus that the airport offers because they know people want to take cruises. The deals are AMAZING right now because of the economy, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a bargain for a great cruise. Have fun!

just an FYI – "online" cruise agents are still travel agents.
Search for cheap cruise deals …

I would go with online travel agencies,I’ve always had good luck with them!

Especially for your first cruise, don’t do it on your own. I am a cruise specialist and I will tell you that no reputable agent charges for services. You pay the same price (or cheaper) then as if you booked direct with the cruise line. shuttles from the airport to the ship are not included unless you book your air through the cruise line and even then, not always. You need to hurry because ships are getting filled up and as they do prices go up.
