how much is the princess cruises / cunard family and friends discount?

i have someone who said they would put me on their friends and family list when i want to book a cruise but want to try to budget how much of a discount that really is. Does anyone have experience with this ? Any helpful advice would be extremely helpful! Thanks in advance.

I have cruised exclusively with Princess and this is what the family and friends thing is all about. If you have sailed with Princess before, you can then use a referral system. You give Princess a list of names of friends and family that may want to cruise. Once that person books and pays for a cruise, both you and the person you refereed get extra cruise credits for future cruises. It is all part of what Princess calls the Captains circle which means anybody who has cruised more then once with Princess.
Ask the person who offered to put you on their list.
Even though Princess and Cunard are both owned by Carnival I do not believe there is any interchange between them.
The Princess referral program works as follows. You recommend someone who has never sailed on Princess. If they then take a cruise they receive a $25 discount and you receive a $25 credit on your next cruise.
